HRSD – Boat Harbor 48” Sewer Lining Project with MEB

Closer to home, Tri-State Utilities’ Water Cure Crew has been working with Mid-Eastern Builders and AECOM to rehabilitate almost 1,400 lf of 48” Sanitary Sewer for HRSD at the Hampton Trunk Sewer Division A Replacement and Boat Harbor East and West Raw Influent Chamber in Newport News, Va. HRSD is undertaking this project to rehabilitate piping, manholes, and chambers at and near its Boat Harbor Treatment Plant. This effort will reduce infiltration and inflow in the system and extend the service life of existing HRSD assets. This project is a necessary part of the ongoing renewal and upgrade of the HRSD system, providing an updated infrastructure that will help ensure HRSD’s ability to protect public health and the environment for decades to come. Prior to lining, MEB set up the bypass to divert the flow, made repairs to existing manholes, and set new manholes while Tri-State Utilities cleaned, CCTV’ed and mobilized our CIPP Lining crew. For Tri-State, 4 separate shots were set up that included a 25’ siphonCloser to home, Tri-State Utilities’ Water Cure Crew has been working with Mid-Eastern Builders and AECOM to rehabilitate almost 1,400 lf of 48” Sanitary Sewer for HRSD (Hampton Roads Sanitation Department) at the Hampton Trunk Sewer Division A Replacement and Boat Harbor East and West Raw Influent Chamber in Newport News, Va.
