25 Years at Tri-State Utilities: Charlie Vaughan

Charlie VaughanCharlie Vaughan is the CIPP Lining Superintendent at Tri-State Utilities.  Charlie started with Steve McSweeney when he opened the doors in September, 1990.  He began his career as a Vactor Operator and grew with the company as it grew.  Charlie has done everything from CCTV of the storm and sanitary lines to fusing pipe for bypass.  He has seen the technologies progress from Sliplining, to Fold & Form, and to CIPP Lining.

More than anything, Charlie is thankful to have gotten out of the roofing business, accepted the opportunity with Steve and Jeanie McSweeney, and looks forward to many more years with Andy and Joe McSweeney leading the way.

“I cannot believe we have been at this for 25 years.  Charlie and I were two of the four employees first hired by my father in 1990.  I can tell you we did EVERYTHING to keep busy, we didn’t have the “luxury” of only lining pipe or cleaning them.  We had to lay pipe, build manholes, coat manholes and clean a lot of pumpstations to keep busy in those first years. Charlie is solid as a rock.  We can always count on Charlie and all his experience to tackle the tough not so ordinary projects.  Congratulations Charles I am truly glad we have been able to have a career alongside each other.”
